Narrative
Served in U. S. Army infantry, Co. G 361 Inf. 91st Powder River Division. Killed in action in Northern Italy, near Florence Sept. 16, 1944, on volunteered patrol. Buried over there, later brought to Centerville Cemetery, Centerville, GA. He received the silver star postumously Sept 21, 1945. Had full military service at funeral.
